There are very few schools that offer galley training programs taught by a chef who is highly experienced in working on a yacht. At Limeleaf Kitchen training is lead by Chris who has ten years such experience and still works for 6 months of the year (April-October) aboard such a vessel.
Our training is suitable for people with all levels of experience and skill including those:
- intending to seek employment on a yacht as a cook for the first time and wish to equip themselves with the expertise and confidence to run a galley
- with a passion for cooking who wish to brush up their skills and learn some new techniques
This training is tailor made to ensure that you have all the necessary skills to get and keep you afloat in your first season.
Alternatively if you are a seasoned chef with plenty of skills who wishes to make a career change into the Yachting World, then a short course with us covering all aspects of galley management from small to large vessels will prove invaluable.
We can provide the crucial knowledge and skills required of a galley at sea, as well as giving you an edge on your competitors at the agencies.
