October sees the end of the wet season and the start of the ‘cold’ season. Temperatures in the day are generally mildly hot and sunny with clear crisp skies at night when temperatures can fall as low as 12°C / 53.6°F making it a great to time to enjoy open fires and fantastic starry nights.
By late February things are beginning to warm up as we enter the hot season and the ground becomes dry. The lodge’s situation high up and on the edge of the forest provides a welcome relief from the high temperatures and mosquitoes of the low lands.
By the end of July slash and burn techniques of the surrounding counties create a hazy sky which is driven away with the first rains.
